Walking through both the concentration camp at Sachsenhausen and the Holocaust Museum was hard. WWII was an atrocity that is difficult to comprehend. Many people were murdered because of the way the look, act, or worship. To then try and walk through that history, listen to the nightmares, is not easy.
I cannot imagine the shame that Germany as a nation must feel about these events. Keeping these these reminders are important and needed, but having that constant reminder must be a burden.
