Some Pictures from Germany

Click to see some cool pictures from different parts of Germany :))

Picture 1 – Throughout the trip, Nicole and I tried to find cool doors and take pictures with them. This was a door at Martin Luther’s House in Wittenberg, so we had to take a cute picture with it! I think we probably took pictures in front of at least 20 doors throughout the trip!

Picture 2 – This is a picture I took in Heidelberg of the castle and the surrounding landscaping. It had just started raining, which you can see on the right side of the picture, and then you can see the sun rays shining through the clouds. I love this picture because there are so many different things going on and to me, it is beautiful to see so much of what God has created in a single picture.

Picture 3 – This is the Jägerschnitzel (Hunter’s Schnitzel) that I ate in Cologne at our group dinner. This was probably one of my favorite meals that I ate while in Germany. Normally, schnitzel is served with fried potatoes, but this was served with fries instead, which I really, really liked. This was just an all around great meal.

Picture 4 – This is me in front of the garden behind the Charlottenburg Castle. We saw a ton of different castles and gardens on the trip, but this was one of the most impressive gardens. There were trees, sunflowers, and about a million other types of flowers. In the picture, I am wearing my souvenir sweatshirt from Berlin. I am also wearing my Birkenstocks, which I was incredibly excited about.

Picture 5 – After the castle, Kelsey, Isaac, Josh and I went to Five Guys for lunch. Isaac had never been to Five Guys before, so we decided to try the German interpretation rather than waiting until we got back to Calvin to go to the one literally 5 minutes away from campus. It looked and tasted pretty much exactly like Five Guys in the United States, but was surprisingly much more expensive!
